Nature-A Gift of God

                 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever'-John Keats.We all are blessed with beautiful mountains,rivers,valleys,forests,glaciers and wildlife.And nature is so beautiful that it mesmerizes us each and every time with it's jaw-dropping scenic beauty and picturesque greenery and landscapes.We develop an emotional bond with it as we share our whole life with it.It is always there for us, right from out first breath to last breath.Nature around us provides everything we need to survive,and thrive.It provides us with food,water,air,medicines and shelter.

                  'Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need,but not every man's greed'-M.K.Gandhi.It is very true as we can observe that.Environment has self cleaning and healing mechanism.Nature only knows to give,it symbolizes sacrifice.It never asks anything in return except some gratitude.Though,there is an enemy to this nature-The Man.We,the so called human beings take nature for granted and exploit it as much as we can.We take the advantage of it and capitalize on it.We exploit land and water for running industries,we exploit forests and cut down tress for furniture industry and other domestic purposes.

                 When the last tree has been cut down,the last fish eaten,the last river poisoned,only then will we realize that one cannot eat money. Unfortunately,we are doing the same and it is not a surprise,if it happens in next 2-3 decades.The rate of pollution is increasing alarmingly day by day.Each and every natural resource is being contaminated.

     Some of the major victims of pollution are water,air and soil: 

• Water is being polluted by adding sewage,untreated industrial wastes and intoxicants directly into rivers and ocean beds.
• Air is being polluted by the emission  of toxic gases from industries and factories.
•  Soil is also being polluted by dumping radio-active waste from nuclear reactors and excessive usage of non-biodegradable products.

           Observe the difference between the above two pictures.It correctly depicts the present scenario.Our ecosystem is being disturbed greatly. Global warming is again a great threat to humanity.Earth temperature is increasing badly that snow-caps are melting away causing low-level areas to submerge.It has a very negative impact on our lives.Our future generations will be struggling a lot.With advancement of science and technology,we are running at a great pace.Our needs and wants are fulfilled making our life simpler.But,we are least bothered about environment and its destruction.

              What can we do?We have to accept the facts and need to change our actions.We need to have a positive approach towards nature and its valuable resources.We need to plant more and more trees as to counter pollution.As a responsible human beings,we need to pass our mother earth to our younger generations in a better way than our older generations gave it to us.
