A Horror Trip - 7 Most Haunted Destinations

We never know what mysteries and secrets are hidden on this earth that could give us a life long thrilling and haunting experience.
Something's can never be explained like existence of God, Aliens or Ghosts.
Today I'll take you on a ride to some of the most haunted places on the earth and the stories behind their spooky horror history. 

The Castle of Good Hope - Cape Town (South Africa)

The castle was built in 17th century by Dutch East India Company. Now it serves as a replenishment station for ships passing the treacherous water of the Cape. 
1st reported paranormal occurence was when the apparition of a tall gentlemen was seen in 1915.
The man wasn't seen again until 1947 & then was seen on a regular basis over a 2 week period. Another famous haunting is the lady in grey running through the castle holding her face and crying.


The Banff Spring Hotel - Alberta (Canada) 

This hotel was built over 125 years ago by Canadian Pacific Railway as a luxury stop off point for train travelers. It is rumoured to be the most haunted place in canada. Terrifying reports include the sighting of a bride who fell down the stairs breaking her neck after panicking when her dress caught fire. Her apparition has been seen on the staircase and in the ballroom dancing with the flames from the back of her dress. 


The main story told by locals is that a family was murdered in room 873 and the door to this room has since been bricked up, but the family that lost their lives in this room are still seen to this day in the hallway outside room. 

Island of the Dolls - Xochimilco (Mexico)

Located on the lake Teshuilo in Mexico City the island "La Isla De La Munecas" commonly known as The Island of Dolls. Legend says that a young girl drowned in the murky water of the lake. Locals believe that ever since she died her spirit couldn't escape from the island. 


In 1950, a man named Julian moved to this island. He claimed that after he moved to this place a little girl began speaking to him. This girl told julian how she had died and that she was trapped on this island. He began to get dolls for this little girl.
Julian later told his nephew that it was becoming more difficult to appease the young girl's thirst for dolls, seemingly worried that she wanted him to join her in her watery grave. 
Same day his nephew found his body in the same spot where the girl died. Tourists say the dolls eyes follow them and they even whisper to them in night. 

Edinburgh Castle - Edinburgh (Scotland)

This castle has history dating back to Iron Age. People believe it to be the most haunted city on  earth. It has been a site of torture and many bloody battles.Visitors and staff have reported the sensation of being touched and pulled as well as the site of  apparitions. Spirits have been witnessed including an old man wearing an apron, a headless drummer boy and a piper who lost life in the tunnel below the castle.
Other experiences including shadowy figures, strange lights, sudden drop in temperature, unexplained mists, sadness and a feeling of being watched.


The Queen Mary Hotel - California (USA)

A former ocean liner that sailed primarily in North Atlantic during 1930's to 1960's. Since 1970's the liner has been run as a hotel in Long Beach, California. It is regarded as one of the most haunted hotel's in USA. The most popular incident is about the first class swimming pool as 2 ladies drowned here and their ghosts have been seen on numerous occasions in this area.


The figure of a woman in white has been seen in Queen's Salon. The ghost of children have been seen and heard near storage room. In cabin B340, there have been a lot of paranormal reports and isn't available for rent anymore for unknown reasons.

Bhangarh Fort - Rajasthan (India)

It is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the world and the most haunted place in India. It was established in 1613 by King Madho Singh. A historic story behind it as follows that princess Ratnavati of bhangarh when attained the age of 18 was receiving marriage proposals from suitors from several states, of all the suitors was a sorcerer named Singhia who was aware of the fact that he was no match for the princess. He tried to possess her with her black magic but his attempt was futile.
Before dying Singhia cursed the city of bhangarh to death and as a result, it never witnessed any rebirths.


Locals claim they have heard voices, screams of a woman, bangles breaking and strange music from the fort. Some people have fet strange sensations of being followed and even slapped by an invisible entity.Therefore the doors are locked after 6pm and entry is forbidden.

White House - Washington DC (USA)

ATTIC

William Henry Harrison being the shortest serving president and the 1st to die in the office succumbing to pneumonia a mere month after his inauguration. Several presidents have heard unexplained noises coming from the attic above the oval office.

 ROSE GARDEN

The garden was originally planted by 1st lady Dolley Madison in early 1800's. A century later when 1st lady Ellen Wilson requested that the garden be dug up, the garden worker reported that madison's ghost  appeared and prevented the garden from being destroyed.

THE 2nd FLOOR HALLS

It's the residence for the 1st family. President Lincoln has been seen or heard by many including 1st lady Eleanor Roosevelt. President Truman once claimed to have heard Lincoln pacing the hallway and knocking on his bedroom door.
