TIPS TO PREPARE FOR YOUR EXAMS
Be it a school student or a college student every single human faces a very hard time in their life especially when the exams are around the corner. They get all those feelings like….stress, boredom, confusion, parent pressure etc etc etc.,during these times. And end up with the poor performance, though you wont be afraid of yours marks rather your parents (cause you feel satisfied as you studied hardly and you got marks accordingly) but not your parents did know about that. So here I am with a few tips to get all over this.
First of all studying for 12 to 14 hours together at the end of the day is not a very good idea. This is myth that student knows. This basically ruins all the other happy hours and you feel even more stressed up .That is why we have to keep up with all the classwork on the day it has been taught. I mean we will change the phrase ‘a successful man doesn't do different things but things differently’ to ‘a successful man doesn't do different things but does things on time’. As simple as that.
Secondly , if you haven't followed the first step and your exam is in 3 days..then the very first thing to do is RELAX. Don’t worry. And follow these few steps :
Topics list
Directly don’t jump into the textbook . But , go through the index first and then make a study list .It will hardly take a few minutes. What you have to include in that is all the important topics which will carry more marks. Then capture the diagrams (if its there). so the very first job of studying for the exam is done.
Allocation
Study the small portions of your study list at a single stretch . At least by now you would have gained some confidence to appear for the exam. Go through the related diagrams side by side. If needed you can make your very own flow chart or diagrams so that while revising you can have a glimpse of it (no need of studying the whole). Then go for bigger portion.
Break ke baad
As I have mentioned before, studying for long hours wont work. Breaks at regular intervals is much necessary for a very good restart. But don’t engage yourself very much in gadgets rather go out play for a while and then get back to books and notes. A light music can do the work. The purpose is to relax yourself for a few minutes so that you don’t feel stressed.
Swap the subjects
For sure you wont have same kind of subjects : Analytic like maths and physics, comprehensive like English or other language , memory dependent subjects like biology ,history, geography that needs to be by-hearten. Therefore, you need to change the subjects so that you don’t get bored and you will be focused in studies . For example, people suffering from numbers (like me ) can solve the numerical problems of physics followed by biology and its fascinating diagrams.
A good night sleep
Don’t forget to have sound sleeps at nights because ‘early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’. On bed by 10 and get up by 4:30 in the morning.
Last but not the least point to keep in mind is to READ and WRITE.
Read and write
To be short and sweet take notes, of course after your studies. Read aloud and then jot down all the important points . Though you would have studied for hours but it will be more effective once you pen it down. Reading and writing can help a lot in the process of memorizing the things for a longer time. Before going for the exam just have glimpse of all the notes you have taken while studying.
YOU ARE READY FOR THE EXAM.
