Love.

What is love? I often find myself pondering about this question, but couldn't find an answer.
Someone once told me that I don't love them, I care for them. And my reaction was "what's the difference?"
We are all living in 21st century and all we young generation know that there is nothing like 'love at first sight'. You're a fool if you think that just by seeing someone beautiful in sight makes you fall in love. Love is a pretty strong word.
So? What is love? I may not answer that question perfectly but I can definitely tell you what is NOT love.
It's definitely not about being a part of someone Instagram or Snapchat stories for sure! It's not about the cute jealousy you feel when you find your significant other talking to some other man/woman. It's not about restricting the other person to not to do certain things, or not to talk to certain people because then you're just caging them in. And that is the only reason why most people say that being in a relationship is like being 'chained' down. Love is not lust, most people confuse the two.
Love, I think, is about the little things that make you happy. Love is the feelings you have for your dog or cat if you're that person ;). Love is being sensitive to your family, that even if there's a petty argument, it brings a tear to your eye. Love is something you have for your best friend. Love is something that you're passionate about. Be it singing, watching movies, reading novels, you get me, right?
Love is something you feel for your friends. Love is when you eat the food your mother made, after a very long time. Love is not chaining people down, but about setting them free. Free from all the sorrow they've been through, letting them know that happiness will always be found in the darkest of time if one only remember to turn on the light (Potterheads will get what I did there!)
Love is about setting out on adventures, together. It's about seeing someone at their worst, and it's about when you still choose to stick around. And lastly, love is about slight obsession, not possession.
So my dear, lovely reader, what's love to you?
