Friendship? What does this word mean to you? For me it simply means having a good friend by My side during all the ups and downs of life.All I ever expect from my goodfriend is to be by my side during the bad times atleast so,I can have a shoulder to lie On.
In this fancy world of social media where people spent major part of their day over facebook,snapchat,instagram friendship has somewhat lost its true meaning.Nowadays it's all just about show off and fake friendships.While you might have ended up finding that one amazing friend,Or the love of your life over social media.Kudos and thanks to facebook,instagram for that BUT am pretty sure you must have lost many good friends too.The ones who were best friends once.
I simply despise the trend over social media where You Are virtual Friends with someone,and all you ever do is call each other bestie,comment and call them hottayy,cuttiee,lifeline,babyjaan,my bae,bro,bff for life,bffe.Oh lord what not! Phew that was a mouthful and exhausting.Pardon me if I’ve missed few words here.So yes,your friends tag comment like and tell the world how much they. Love you but when youre in trouble,only one or two might actually turn up to Help you.Once you leave social media only one or two might notice your absence and care to know why you vanished and how youve been.
Am sorry but you have to come out of bubble and know whose the real and the fake friend here.Ofcourse you need to have some diplomacy,socialise and be kind but yes dont stretch it.Utter the words only if you mean it.Just like I would never tell I love you to a guy Unless I mean it,unless am willing to take the responsibility of handling a relationship.In the same manner,I’d never call you my dear as my best friend or good friend unless I mean it.I dont mean to say it out loud,”its all just a farce,” but yes to some extent you must have understood the point am trying to make here.
Everyones running Behind quantity.People boast about their followers over insta,Friends over facebook as if its some sort of achievement.No my dear its not.Having that one friend for you,not matter what happens that one friend will always stick by your side.This my dear is an achievement.
Friendship and its commitments have completely lost its meaning because of this so called friendship websites.I hope the next time you call someone your bestfriend You know the responsibility you have as a friend and may you live upto it.After all A good man is a man who Lives by his words.
