BEAUTY
There is a saying "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder".What one individual considers beautiful may not be beautiful to another. To me, beauty is not only something that pleases the eyes, but also pleases the other senses and the mind. I think true beauty makes you see beyond the lovely sight. It will give you insight or realisation of something interesting beyond just the outward appearance. When we talk about beauty in people. We often refer to their physical attractiveness. Of course, a beautiful or handsome face is pleasant to look at. But I find that the most memorable "beautiful people" are those who have captivating personalities behind the pretty faces. Beauty is the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit.
In life, many things are beautiful. People can be beautiful inside or out; physical attributes, aesthetics, attitudes, personalities, contributions or deeds to others, kindness, selflessness, hearts, love; all these can be beautiful, simply because they please the senses or mind of an individual. Sometimes, beauty can be dangerous; so desirable and addictive. Beauty can be patterns, knowledge, art, sounds, poetry or literature. The vast colours of the rainbow, the sounds of a rushing waterfalls or the subtle noises of nature. The pitter- patter of rain on a rooftop creates a pleasing melody. The scattered rays of sunlight, the array of colours in a garden, the smell of freshly cut flowers, the brillance of lighting bolts on a stormy night; all pleasing to the nature of beauty.
Beauty has constantly been used to defining things in their appearance acting as a show of goodness and suitability. Beauty means different things to different people. Today, things seem to have evolved. No much change has occurred other than developing on what has been held previously concerning beauty. Beauty is based on what the viewer feels on a conscious and base-instinct level. Most of what we consider to be beautiful is based on our genetics and our environment. Beauty is a matter of opinion and does not take attractiveness into account because people are often attracted to personality too.
Beauty is what makes the world a better place. It is apparently a visual gift, as the essence of a thing of beauty is experience only with closer contact and understanding of it. Beauty is relative to the subject. And all things living and still can at any moment shout of beauty. All things have a potential for beauty, it lasts only when there is a deeper force driving it to shine. A thing of beauty can also have lapses of the reverse. Thus, beauty is an integral part of our lives.
