Engineers not engineering innovation anymore!

Day by day, when lakhs of students prepare and appear for engineering entrance exams, their parents get more skeptical about choosing engineering as the correct path  for their child. Even students find themselves trapped in between pursuing engineering. The country consists of lakhs and lakhs  of engineers roaming on the streets doing everything except engineering. There are many factors which promote students to take up engineering without even thinking whether it is right for them or not. To start with population, it is increasing day by day engineering remains as a favourite choice for everyone as it is cheap than other majors.

Another factor is that students take up engineering without even giving it a second thought, their major goal is to get a B.Tech degree and not make use of it, instead do MBA  or any other non-technical course. What is the use? Just to be called an undergraduate?

This creates more and more engineers, to mention less productive engineers holding a degree by wasting their time in their college years. Students don't even research about the major that they want to pursue, they either choose a center of excellence on the basis of placement packages or take admission in a private college, these universities receive a huge amount of donation money and make education a petty business.

The engineers graduated like this do not possess any relevant skill, except for mugging up things at a faster rate. Do we realize the gravity in this issue?  Whom are we giving the responsibility to make India a tech-savvy, fully advanced country that is chosen over countries like Germany, USA. Indian graduates from premier institutions move with their backpacks to foreign countries. Is this fair to your country?

I also accuse institutions to lack the right course curriculum and discipline under higher authorities. It's time to think people!!!
Don't waste your talent future engineers, be the best in your field. Work hard.
Make India proud.
