She wants to study.
She wants to see the light of the day.
The darkness of her life has engulfed every aspect of her life.
Her heart breaks to see the many characters on the walls, television and newspaper, but not being able to read and comprehend a single one.
She utterly knows the value of education, because she was denied it.
She desires to feel the impression that her writing would make on paper.
She craves for pouring her heart out on paper.
She wants her articulation of words to be perfect, to speak in the cutglass accent with which others speak.
She covets to know about the myriad mysteries that hide within pages of books.
she direly wants to know the answers to the endless questions that plague her mind all the time.
questions like, "Why am I not allowed to enter the temple?"
"Why do we have separate wells and graveyards in the village?"
" Why am I considered an untouchable?"
She aspires to fly high.
Her aims are indeed high.
But she is made to sit like a caged bird with her wings drooped.
her only duty is to obey her elders and carry out their orders without a word of retorsion.
mop the floor, wash the utensils, scrub and clean the house, that was all that she was meant to do.
her sacrifices not acknowledged, her love and kindness never paid back.
but she endures.
probably, one day, the force that created the world might slightly open its heavy eyes and present her with just one opportunity to learn, to understand and obtain an enhanced and a more clear picture of life.
