Pascal respectively. The show was created by

Narcos has been one of Netflix's most watched series and it
has been appreciated by critics around the world for its fast paced story and
action. The locations in where the show has been shot are actually places in Colombia.
The background score of the show is brilliant and it makes the viewer believe
that they literally are back in drug addled 1980's Colombia. The show is mostly
in Spanish and it adds to the illusion. The show has also used press news items
and press clippings, in every episode to capture how real the situation
actually was. Season one of the show, includes bits of a documentary shot on
Pablo Escobar and it shows how rich and lavish his lifestyle actually was.
The show has been quite popular in India and has been
endorsed by many celebrities such as Tanmay Bhatt, who appears in an ad wherein
he plays a pizza delivery boy, who is not able to get tips from his favorite
customers, because they are too busy watching the show. He dresses up as Pablo
Escobar for his next delivery, and he is invited in. This advertisement
captured the craze that had begun for the show in India.
Narcos premiered in 2015 on August 28th. Until now there
have been three seasons with 10 episodes each. The average runtime of the show
is 50 minutes. The third season of the show, which is the most recent, released
on Netflix on September 1st.
However the show has been criticized on many grounds.
Critics feel that the actor who plays Pablo Escobar on the show (Wagner Moura)
has a very strange accent that is not good enough and spoils the authenticity
of the show. Pablo Escobar's son also has criticized it saying that it has
exaggerated certain events. Colombian audiences have been irritated and amused
by the show’s hodgepodge of accents. A character based on Escobar’s wife is
played by Paulina Gaitán (Mexican), his partner Gonzalo Rodríguez Gacha by Luís
Guzman (Puerto Rican), while his rival Jorge Ochoa is played by André Mattos
(Brazilian).
All in all, the show is extremely good and has the viewer
hooked. Pablo Escobar's infamous line Plata O Plomo which means Silver Or Lead
is captivating and viewers are guaranteed chills every time Wagner Moura says
it.
So what are you waiting for?? Get on Netflix and Chill with
Pablo Escobar.
