TRUST: A DEVIL OR AN ANGEL?

Trust is the most basic element in any kind of relationship. According to the Oxford dictionary “Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something”. Either, one can destroy your trust or build your trust.

Trust is the most important factor that helps build a strong relationship amongst different people. Trust is like gambling, either you win it or you lose it. Many a times you would have seen that the trusting factor is at stake. This mostly happens when the other person acts against our will knowing that we don’t like it. Like a coin, trust has its two-side effect; the positive or the negative. Normally when we toss a coin we don’t know the result, either it could be head or tail. The same goes on with trust one cannot judge the results beforehand, they have to wait for the outcome, a stronger relationship or the break of trust takes place.

One can depict the most beautiful thing through trusting. When trust is the most important thing, we intend not to hurt the opposite. The first step to initiate to building a strong relationship is TRUST. Statistics show that on an average people tend to trust easily, but when that trust is broken their trusting ability weakens, making them more careful while trusting anyone again. Patience is really needed when you trust a person. As we don’t know who the person is, we cannot trust him blindly from the start. You must at least take a considerable amount of time while trusting anyone.

Trust can be a devil sometimes, when someone breaks your trust by acting against our will, when they say that they will do that thing but fail to do that purposely, backstab the other, cheating on the other person and many such reasons. One has to be very careful when trusting the other because enemies are disguised as friends. Faith is a two-way process, one must trust the other in return of that person trusting you.

Angel trusting can be in the form of staying with that person in all kinds of situations, not lying to you, helping you in difficult times and many such reasons. Due to this reason a person is contended that the other will always be by his side no matter what the situation is. Believing in the other will help build strong relationships and hence improve their trusting factor on the other.

“Trust, but verify” is a statement that holds the importance of trusting the other person but you shouldn’t trust blindly, you should verify that person before trusting them. You really don’t know what another person will do, you may think you know them, you may believe you can trust him but at the end, you really don’t know. Remember, everything isn’t as it appears to be, and you can be blindsided by people close to you even if you are careful, so trust but verify.
