Terrorism- The Murderer of Humanity

There is no life to be found in violence. Every act of violence brings us closer to death. Terrorism is a hazard for mankind. It's an act of violence the main purpose could be a political objective, a direct attack on civilians making civilians a primary target. It's not an unthinking violence, terrorists are very specific about what they want. 

They try to achieve their target by unkind actions like Explosions, Stray Shooting, Flight Hijacking and nowadays they have starting bombing clubs and concert arenas.The act of terror is basically of 2 types :-

1. State Terrorism- State can use force or the threat of force, without declaring war, to terrorize citizens and achieve a political goal.
2. Bioterrorism- Bioterrorism refers to the intentional release of toxic biological agents to harm and terrorize civilians, in the name of a political or other cause.The U.S. Center for Disease Control has classified the viruses, bacteria, and toxins that could be used in an attack. 
3. Cyberterrorism- Cyberterrorists use information technology to attack civilians and draw attention to their cause. This may mean that they use information technology, such as computer systems or telecommunications, as a tool to orchestrate a traditional attack.
4. Nuclear Terrorism- Nuclear terrorism" refers to a number of different ways nuclear materials might be exploited as a terrorist tactic. These include attacking nuclear facilities, purchasing nuclear weapons, or building nuclear weapons or otherwise finding ways to disperse radioactive materials.
5. Narcoterrorism- Narcoterrorism has been used to indicate situations in which terrorist groups use drug trafficking to fund their other operations.

Some major act of terror that hit the world really hard:-

Attack on the World Trade Center (9\11\2001)

• September 11th 2001, 19 militants associated with the islamic extremist group Al-Qaeda hijacked 4 airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the US.
• 2 planes were flown into the twin tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, 3rd plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington DC.
• 4th plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
• This terrorist attack on US killed almost 3000 people.

London Bombings (7\7\2005)

• July 7th 2005, 4 bombs exploded across london. 3 exploded in the London Underground Trains while the other 1 exploded on a bus in Tavistock Square.
• Just after 2 weeks on July 21st, 4 other bomb attacks paralysed the functionaries of London's public transport system.
• 52 civilians were killed in that series of coordinated suicide attacks while more than 700 were injured.

• In September 2005 Al-Qaeda deputy leader Ayman-Al-Zawahiri claimed partial responsibility for the bombings, but the extent and nature of al-Qaeda’s true role in the attacks remained murky. 

New Delhi Bombing (10\29\2005)

• October 29th 2005, 3 explosions occured leading to death of 62 people and injury count of 210 people. This happened just 2 days before Diwali.
• Bombs were triggered in 2 markets in Central & South Delhi.
• It is believed that the kashmir separatist group Lashkar-e-Taiban was behind these attacks.
• The first blast took place in the main bazaar of Paharganj near the Delhi Railway Station .
• The second blast took place near a bus in Govindpuri area in the southern part of the city.
• The third explosion took place in south Delhi's busy Sarojini Nagar market.

Mumbai Attacks (11\26\2008)

• November 28th 2008, 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiban an islamic terrorist organisation based in pakistan carried out a series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting 4 days across in mumbai.
• In this terrorist attack 166 people died and more than 300 were injured.
• 9 terrorists were killed by the mumbai police and 1 captured.
• Shooting and bombing occured in these areas of mumbai:-

          - Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminals

          - The Oberoi Trident

          - Taj Palace & Tower

          - Leoplod Cafe

          - Cama Hospital

          - Nariman House

          - Metro Cinema

Manchester Attack (5\22\2017)

• May 22nd 2017, 22 people died including a number of children after an explosion tore through a Ariana Grande concert at manchester area.
• 250 people were injured in this suicide bombing attack.
• Terrorist Salman Abedi was named as the suicide bomber who carried out the attack.
• Greater manchester police declared the incident a terrorist attack & suicide bombing.
• It was the deadliest attack in the United Kingdom since the July 7th 2005 London Bombings.

Many more such acts have occured that shook the world. But there is only one way we can deal with such terrorist acts - "Don't be terrorised, Don't let the fear rule your life. Even if you are scared."
