Priorities

Being a child of working parents is not easy. Being a single child of working parents is so not easy. In this ambitious era, where people are eager to earn paychecks than to sit idle at home, parents are losing their children or I should say, children, are losing their parents.

The old times were medium paced roads with serenity at the end but now the lives are fast forward in non-uniform accelerated motion with less control over brakes. I am not saying its wrong to be ambitious or look out for your career or start a relationship, but learn to make a list of your priorities.
Preferences do matter! If you are in the downfall of your career don't ever think of starting a new venture or starting a family. The results can be devastating for the other members in your life.

I would like to come back where this article started 'Being a single child to working parents'. When someone asks 'What do your parents do?', if both of them are successful in their careers, a child proudly states each one of their's occupations. I am not saying that a child won't be proud if his mother or father is a housewife or a house-husband. The point is a child loses the care of each one of them at the right time and turns out to hate them or ignore them or less connected to them. In present times the distraction called 'Smartphones' or any other gizmo can keep them unattended for a few hours but the satisfaction is not achieved. Instead, if both the mother father can plan and then give equal attention to both their child and workplace, it will be a family created in heaven.

This applies not only to parents to look after their child but also to every person out there alive to achieve their respective goals. A high school should realize the fact that there will be time for enjoyment and other things in his life and he/she should keep his/her focus only on the particular goal at that moment.

Try keeping up with your priorities and goals, I believe these go hand in hand, life will be much easier with this mantra! Peace.
