Internet Hacking

A hacker is a person who loves to explore computer technology and take it to the next level.

It refers to breaking into computer systems without authorisation and a hacker is a criminal as per law. A hacker can enter false log-in pages and once we enter our login I.D. and password into that falsepage , the password will straight away be in the hands of the hacker.

Once the hacker comes to know about our password , he will get to know the details of our profile and then will pose to be us to all the members connected to us through it. The stuffs that he could do could be unimaginable for us. He can take rid of us in several ways. He might take undue advantage of our profile , he might threaten others on our name or he might do something that may hit our reputation. This is the reason why we should never give personal details on any social networking sites. 

Thus , internet security is an important aspect that is required.

What we can do to ensure security from our side is :

-We should change our passwords often 

-We must keep it strong. 

-We must change it time to time.

-We should never keep our birth dates , phone numbers or any personal information of ours as a password as it can be easily guessed.

-Our password should contain atleast 12 characters including upper case and lower case alphabets along with the use of numbers and special characters.

-Different I.D's should be kept for an e-mail account and a Facebook account , because if a hacker gets control of one , it gets control over both the I.D and can change the email associated with that of the other account. 

-Always click on the option NO , if you see a dialogue box appearing saying , " Do you want such and such site to remember your password"

-The moment we feel that our password is compromised , we should immediately change it and should never share it with anyone.

-Donot link up with unknown people over the net as you have no clue so as to who they are and what can they do.

-Any security settings should not be disabled such as Antivirus , Firewall or any website monitoring program.

-We should never open or  download attachments from the spam section or from the unknown users as it may contain virus and cause harm to our device.

Apart from this , today we have a strong string of security among all the social networking sites yet cyber crime is still in trend.

Today , in a world , where digitalization is taking a step forward , we must be aware of all our accounts associated with  the net.

One step that is a must is any inappropriate content or account that we come across should be immediately reported so that the account can be looked into and out down instead of blocking the same.

Afterall , a step towards prevention is way better.
