How to prepare for an Exam?


Exams are the biggest nightmares that a student can ever have in his/her life. Want to know how to prepare for exams without being tensed up? Want to score more? Want to stay calm on the day of the Exam? Here, I'll give you tips that will make you feel more comfortable during an exam.



How to prepare for exams without being tensed up? 

  • First of all, forget that you are actually writing an exam. Just think that you are being tested on whatever you have learnt in your classes. One thing that you must understand very well is that exams are not meant to trouble students. They just test your understanding in the concept and they also tell you the concept which isn't understood by you properly.
  • Never study continuously. Take 15 - 20 min break after every hour of study.
  • Manage your time according to the number of concepts to study and the amount of time to be dedicated to each of the concepts. Allot less time to concepts that you know very well and more time to concepts that you feel are tough and would take comparatively more time to understand.
  • NEVER MEMORISE CONCEPTS. Make efforts to understand them unless and until you are sure of answering anything that is asked in the exam.
  • In your break time, take a nap or go out and get some fresh air. Don't play video games or games on PC/Mobiles.
  • Talk to yourself. Tell that you can do it and you will surely do it. Tell yourself that "Hard work never pays off".
Follow all these and you will always be chilled out while preparing for your exams.👍


How to score more in an Exam?

  • Always remember one thing that , You get what you deserve. So, to score more, the main thing that you need to do is to work hard and give your best in your exam.
  • While writing your exam, make sure that you attempt all the questions, because if a question is wrong, you may get full marks for just attempting the question.
  • Draw diagrams where ever possible. (Preferably using a pencil and a scale)
  • Don't look at what others are doing. Concentrate on your paper.
  • Most importantly, don't get tensed up when others ask for additional sheets continuously. 
  • Allot ample time to all the questions.
  • Attempt all the questions you know, first.
  • Attempt all the questions which carry more marks. Go to the questions with the least marks later. 
  • Make sure you have all the stationery required for the exam. Don't have any borrowing business during the exam.
Now,scoring becomes easier ! Doesn't it ?





How to stay calm on the day of the Exam?

  • The most important requirement is that you don't open your study materials at least 3 hours before the exam,
  • Have a sound sleep before the exam day.
  • Reach the exam spot at least 30 min before the allotted time.
  • Make sure you don't discuss about the subject in the exam hall.
  • Sit on your seat and stay silent. Don't talk much.
  • Stay away from all those people who you feel are making you tensed.
  • "Believe in yourself". Have confidence in yourself.
  • Take a short nap or practise some yoga ( breathing exercises).
Now, no more scary feeling on the exam day !😃
