Not so usual name, right?

A restaurant named not with a name but with number. To be more specific, year! Haha. This is unique just like its interiors and food. Right from the door to the walls that has a spinning wheel hung with real turban and medals framed and photo frames of different handmade art to the bright colorful comfy furniture and props like huge vintage milk cans, vintage metal suitcases, etc and of course the food.

The Food at 1947 is sophisticated and dramatic without overpowering the palate. Their focus is to always rely on the integrity of flavor allowing the food to speak for itself.

Washroom of 1947

Not to forget the washroom of the 1947 restaurant too. Yes, I do get amazed by every part of hotels and
restaurants. The washroom has old-fashioned tiny cot in the waiting area while the interiors consist of
framed old stamps, rusted iron imitating wash basin.

Humble & Kind Service

The staffs of the hotel right from the receptionist to the waiters and food server are calm and humble.
Thus, making it more memorable because after all friendly service along with refreshing food leaves a
great impression on visitors. Therefore, 1947 has always been inclined towards the serving the best
quality food and a memorable dining experience to its visitors.

Food Options at 1947

Out of everything thing I had there including Baby corn Manchurian, Spicy Paneer Tikka Lababdar, Butter Naan, Pudina Kulcha, Masala Papad, Brownie. What took my heart away were these:
Masala Papad: Masala Papad topped with chopped onion, tomatoes & coriander leaves and mint chutney was served along with the masala papad.
Baby corn Manchurian: Being a Spicy lover, waiter suggested us this particular dish. I had Baby corns tossed in Manchurian sauce and shredded purple cabbage was served along with these. It was moderate spicy and pretty food in taste.
Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream: Hot & sizzling brownie rich with broken cashew nuts, almonds was topped with chilled vanilla flavored ice cream and the chocolate sauce was topped over it.
