STRESS
Stress
is a pressure or tension exerted on an object or person. Stress
results into an
adverse or very demanding circumstance. Sometimes stress
can be a positive force or a negative force. Positive force can be motivating
you to do something better and negative can spoil your work.
There are 3 types of stress; natural
reaction, pressure points, chronic stress. Natural
reaction means reacting naturally to a situation as in your heart pounds
when you see a scary movie, sweating hands on a first date are examples of
natural reaction. Pressure points include
both minor and major stress; minor stress means getting tension before giving a
presentation and major stress means stress due to major activities like
earthquakes. Chronic stress means it
is the most dangerous type of stress, it starts interfering with our daily lives.
Feeling both worse in your mind and body, not being able to do anything or have
only negative thoughts in all kinds of situations.
Things one can do to avoid stress;
·
Identify what’s
causing the stress – the first step to reduce stress is to identify the
factors that are causing the stress, make a list of those factors and start distancing
yourself from those. Once you list down the things that stress you than make a
plan on how to reduce them.
·
Build strong
relationships – start building strong relationships with family,
friends, neighbors etc. having strong relationships and strong communication
helps reduce the stress level to a great extent. You can share things when you
have a strong bond with people.
·
Walk away
when you are angry – when you are angry you don’t know what’s going on in
your head and you react badly to the situation and later on you regret it. Better
than that is that you walk away every time you get angry. When you are angry
you tend to be more stressed than any other time and stress and anger itself
make a deadly combination.
·
Rest your
mind – once you have walked away from that situation, think less
about it. Start thinking about the good things in life. Think about the good
things that will happen to you in future, where you are likely to be in the
next 10 years down the line. Deviating yourself from that will help you to a
great extent.
·
Get help – if you
think that doing this won’t help you get help from people who can help you to
get your way out. You can ask anyone a doctor, teacher, parents, friends,
neighbors anyone.
Some people tend to stress about so many
things and such things that are not of great importance in life while others don’t
even tend to stress about the biggest things even and think that they will find
their way out without any stress.
