How To Not Be Angry

We all have experienced the moments when we got angry for little things which later we didn’t even remember. It is very natural for us to be angry and justify ourselves. We become angry when somebody tells us that we are a loser, that we are not good enough. Anger leads to hate and it can create further conflicts if not taken care of.

Anger has different sides to itself. When we become angry it is not because we don’t like what the other person said to us but because we are hurt inside and we are vulnerable. The other person doesn’t know it but we think that they should know that. We think that they should know that just by looking and judging us by our face. But when they fail to realise that, we burst into a rage.

But anger is not bad and it reveals a different side of us which often get neglected by others. The angry person tells us that what they want is not the witty criticisms and negative remarks but the care and love which they are missing and longing for. We are not always angry but when the other person doesn’t realise that we have done our best and that we should be thanked for instead of nagging that we get angry. Inside we are hurt by that bitter fight in the morning with our best friend and all we need is some care. We divert our anger for our bosses to our loved ones just because we don’t feel cared and loved. If they could just care a little and understand what we want, we would not have been angry and said all those bitter things.

Anger Management is a skill which we all should implement in our lives and use the next time we get angry. It could save a lot of trouble and also help us live better lives. Here are a few tips to how to not be angry-

1. Think about a happy moment from your past when you are angry. Diverting your minds from a place of anger to a place of happiness is a simple cure to anger.

2. Accept that you are hurt inside. Anger is the call that you need care and love. By realising this you will be able to calm yourself.

3. When you are angry, try to speak to a friend who can understand you and is a good listener. This can be a therapy and help to control it.

4. If you become angry, take a walk outside or go for a run. Any physical exercise would be able to help with your anger.
